July 7 - Presidio County 4-H Dog Club CGC classes begin,  Marfa, TX - Presidio County 4-H is going to the dogs!  For more information contact County Extension Agent Rafael Realivasquez at 432-729-4746.

July 5 & 7 - August 9 & 11,  2006 - Group Basic Training/Good Manners Classes - Marfa, TX  During this 6 week course, you will learn how to teach your dog basic obedience commands like sit, down, heel, stay, and come when called, in addition to good canine citizen manners and a few tricks. You dog will be eligible to test for the AKC Canine Good Citizen award. Class size is limited to 5 dogs, 7 months of age and older.  Proof of vaccination is required. If you were unable to complete a previous class, you are welcome to audit this one, but prior registration is required.

February  2006 - Group Puppy Kindergarten and Adult Basic Training/Good Manners Classes begin - During this 6 week course, you will learn how to teach your dog basic obedience commands like sit, down, heel, stay, and come when called, in addition to good canine citizen manners and a few tricks. You dog will be eligible to test for the AKC Canine Good Citizen award. Class size is limited to 5 dogs, 7 months of age and older.  Proof of vaccination is required. If you were unable to complete a previous class, you are welcome to audit this one, but prior registration is required.

September  -  Marfa Lights Festival -  Marfa TX - mARFa Dog and MAS will have a combined booth this year.  Training demonstrations, CGC Tests, IQ test, "Ask The Trainer" sessions, dog-owner look-a-like contest, MAS T-shirts and lots of information about pets, responsible pet ownership, and local dog law.

*June 17, 2005 - Hot Diggity Dog - Ft. Davis, TX - Jeff Davis County Humane Society is celebrating their acquisition of land to build a new shelter, dog park, and agility course.   Free food, fun, training demonstrations, CGC test and more.

*May 22, 2005 - Bite Prevention Safety Presentation - Ft. Davis, TX - Cozy Dog and I will demonstrate how to stay safe around dogs.
